Interior designing is the total creative solution
which seeks to optimise and harmonise the use of the built environment. An
Interior Designer is professionally trained to create a functional
efficient and safe interior which enhance the quality of the working
and living environment.
Many factors come into play in formulating the design solutions. There
is the space itself its dimensions and constructions how the space will
be used for work for leisure, Entertainment or worship, healing or
learning. There are practical considerations, like ease of access
amount of light, acoustics, seating and place to store or set things
down. There are health and safety considerations, attention to special
needs, and more. The elements of designs range from the visual ( Colour, lighting, form),
to the textile (surface, shape and texture) to the auditory (Noise,
echo etc).
A good looking functional dwelling place is something which everybody
craves for in the present day scenario. The entry of multinationals and
the constant endeavour of Indian firms to
merge aesthetic with functional qualities in offices as well as in
homes has increased the awareness of an
important subject of study — INTERIOR DESIGNING. The scope of the
interior designers has multiplied in recent times, more so in cities,
but equally in small towns as well.
